Hooray! Love-Vintage has just confirmed it's debut at The Vintage Wedding Fair in Harrogate on 18 September 2010, at the St George's Hotel. We're going back to our northern roots to show off some of our proudest pieces, from pearl and crystal wedding bouquets, to luscious pomanders, table decorations and vintage wedding favours.

If you can't make it to Harrogate, we will also be exhibiting a little closer to home, at The Vintage Wedding Fair in London on 14 November 2010, at Bush Hall.

Love Vintage introduces it's latest vintage fabric bouquets

We're very proud of our latest creation, a very special posy bouquet for a very special vintage bride to be. The soft bouquet was created with lots of handmade roses, using 100% ivory and gold silks, french lace and brought to life with ivory and oyster pearls.

This delicate bouquet will make its appearance in April this year. We can't wait to see the pictures!

Looking for a creative wedding photographer?

One of the most daunting tasks for me when planning my wedding was figuring out how to preserve every little detail without our day becoming a commercial photoshoot with static poses and regimented photocalls. I had one wish: paparazzi-style photos, and lots of 'em! Ok, that was more than one wish. But I was a bride after all.

I did a little bit of searching and came across a guy called Timm. An emerging photographer with a creative background and a really edgy style. One visit and we were convinced. His images capture every detail - smiling eyes, loving looks and lots and lots of fun and laughter. Quite simply, I am overwhelmed by the images he captured of our day...and I barely remember seeing him.

Love Vintage Ties the Knot!

Well as some of you know already, I had my very own Love Vintage wedding on 17th October and am just about coming back down to earth. It was a lovely day and the sun was shining over the Peak District... if only it weren't over so quickly.

I had so many comments on my dress which was perfect! All thanks to Ian Stuart. I had to restrain so many times from posting a link on the blog as I knew if I did my H2B would see the dress. We can't have that can we! So I've attached an image of Ian Stuart's beautiful creation - Mokalita - which I wore with a lovely handmade hairpiece and birdcage veil. The roses were amnesia. All little touches Love Vintage. Of course!

It's nice to be back as Mrs Christey-French. Keep coming back for more blog posts on the Love Vintage wedding and upcoming news.

6 weeks and counting...

Things at Love Vintage are busier than ever. And as we start to take a breath at the end of a busy Summer wedding season, I am soon back in the swing of it trying to put the final touches to my own wedding.

By profession, I am a perfectionist. And when it comes to my very own wedding, there is no escaping my need to make sure everything is perfect. Of course, I have chosen a romantic vintage theme (like my H2B really had a choice!).
I've chosen the aged capuccinno pomander bouquets to match the antique rose bridesmaids dresses, gypsophila favours for everyone's place settings and lots of other little details. 1940s glass candelabras for the centrepieces, draped with pearls and beads. Perfect.

It's all coming together now after 9 long months of planning and creating. Must start to tick some things of my 'to do' list though, I am bubbling with so many new ideas it just keep getting longer!

I will keep you posted. 17th October will be here in no time!

May 25 2009 ~ Whilst browsing wedding cakes online, I came across an image of a vintage style wedding cake. I have never seen anything so detailed and delicate, yet so perfectly yummy to look at.

It's given me loads of inspiration for my own wedding, all I need to do now is make the topper!

May 24 2009 ~ Morning all! So I'm actually getting married myself in October and its about time I sorted my own flowers and favours as well as other peoples :-)

My favourite item at the moment is the Love Vintage Bridesmaid Pomander in cappuccino. For this lovely vintage bridesmaid bouquet I used aged foam roses and antique hat pins, with a pretty polka dot ribbon.

I'm going to use them as chair decorations for our ceremony though. I might even add a little bow to the top too.

May 6 2009 ~ I had to share some pictures of my darling pooch, Lilipad. Now, she's nearly three and I've had her since she was a wee pup. I would LOVE her to be at our wedding in October. What are your thoughts on pets at weddings?

I'm not talking dog tutus or ring bearing cushions strapped to her back. But it wouldn't be the same without her. The jury is still out on this one. I still have some work to do in persuading my husband to be!

The Perfect Venue

March 26 2009 ~ So I'm lucky enough to have found my prince and we've set a date for 17th October 2009. We've found the most perfect venue for our romantic vintage wedding.

Hassop Hall set in the blissfully peaceful and serene landscape of the Peak District, Derbyshire (my home town). We're getting married in a beautiful and rustic Dairy, followed by a scrumptious feast in the renovated Ballroom.

My favourite bit? The corridor! I was bowled over by the exposed stone and candlelit staircase.
